Our Leading Lady - Min. Alethia J. Faison
Alethia J. Faison is the Leading Lady of Watson Grove Baptist Church (The Grove), a growing, multigenerational, multisite church with campuses in Nashville, TN and Franklin, TN. The Grove endeavors to be “A GROWING church for GROWING people whom Christ will use in GROWING His Kingdom.”
A native of Franklin, Virginia, Min. Faison was educated in the Southampton County public school system. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (with a concentration in Sociology) from Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia and a Master of Arts in Religion (with a concentration in Pastoral Counseling) from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Lipscomb University to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Min. Faison was licensed to preach the Gospel in March 2011. She serves as the Vice-President of John R. Faison Ministries, LLC and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is a versatile gift who has served in various ways impacting the local church, the community, and the Kingdom of God. Min. Faison is known for her bright smile, warm heart, and her ability to make everyone around her feel special. She has a motherly instinct that compels her to care for others as if they were her own family. Among her spiritual gifts, God has given her a unique gifting of discernment. She uses that gift most effectively as a powerful prayer warrior. Moreover, Min. Faison is particularly anointed to reach young, hurting women with the ministry of reconciliation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her own triumphs over personal tragedies enable her to share, from experience, God’s ability to heal all of life’s painful wounds. She believes that, "transparency coupled with the Love of Christ changes lives."
Min. Faison is married to Pastor John R. Faison, Sr. God has blessed them with three beautiful children: John (Jr.), Ajah, and Jaden.
